    How did he do that? The steps are right next to each other. It seems like his back foot would be stepping on his front foot each time.

    • Hey Dave!! Yah, raccoon have an interesting walking gait (referred to as a “pace”) similar to bears. It is a signature gait for them, also referred to as a 2×2 walk. Their bodies turn to the side so that their LEFT REAR foot lands directly next to their RIGHT FRONT foot, then the next set of two tracks in the trail are the opposite feet (LF and RR).

        I don’t know, i think maybe it’s a conspiracy. A bunch of raccoons got together (you know they do wear masks) and used some fake raccoon feet to make it look that way. I do enjoy your posts though.
